Auto-Huiput Oy has a new modern business premises in Nummela - the construction was facilitated by good cooperation with the municipality of Vihti
Auto-Huiput Oy is a car dealership specialising in used cars, operating in two locations in Nummela and Espoo, as well as through distance sales around Finland. The family business has grown steadily in recent years, which has created new needs for the company's premises.
At the end of October 2025, the company will have a new modern flagship store in Nummela, in a central location next to highway 25, near the Veikkoinkorvi entrance. The project was boosted by smooth cooperation with Vihti's building control department. Next, Aleksi Mäkelä, entrepreneur of Auto-Huiput Oy, will shed more light on his experiences during the construction project.
Modern business space to support growing operations
New premises in Nummela became a topical issue for Auto-Huiput Oy due to the increased need for space. The property, built in the vibrant Veikkoinkorvi area, meets this need by offering 1650 m2 of modern shop space, office and meeting space on the second floor and a large yard area for car storage and customer parking.
The company had already owned the land for some time, and in 2024 it was felt that the time was right to start the construction project. Auto-Huiput Oy chose Tekova to carry out the project and the company's comprehensive turnkey solution. The winter of 2024-2025 was reserved for preparatory design work, and construction started with groundworks in April 2025.
A smooth building permit process allowed for a straightforward start
According to Mäkelä, the initial stages of the construction were very easy thanks to the good cooperation between the municipality of Vihti and the building control department.
- The building permit process went smoothly, for which I give high marks to the Vihti building control. The digital permit process was convenient, and the building control was also very accessible via e-mail, telephone and electronic channels. If necessary, you can even go to the building control on the spot.
In my experience, the cooperation with the building control worked very well, and Tekova, who led the project, also praised the functionality of Vihti's building control, Aleksi Mäkelä says.
Construction project finished smoothly and on time
According to Mäkelä, the construction of the premises also progressed very smoothly. Everything was very clear from the outset when building on the zoning area, and the Vihti municipality's building control department provided expert advice on any questions that arose. To facilitate communication, they were also assigned a contact person from the building control department.
The new premises will be completed on schedule during October 2025, when the Nummela branch will move its entire operations from the old premises to the new one. In November, the new premises will host the much-anticipated opening ceremony, where guests will be able to enjoy an even more customer-oriented service experience: the large courtyard will make it easier to visit Auto-Huipu, and the growing range of cars will give customers more choice.

In my experience, Vihti is an entrepreneur-friendly municipality, where there is a clear desire for investment and genuine efforts are being made. It's great that companies and entrepreneurs are being helped at every level, and the municipality's business services, municipal management and building control are working in the same direction," Mäkelä says.
