McDonald's has received planning permission for its restaurant in Vihti Nummela.

McDonald's is building a new restaurant with good transport connections at Kyöstinpolku 1.

Construction of the new Mäkkäri will start as soon as possible. The restaurant is expected to open in autumn 2025.

"It is great to respond to the many requests we have received and open a McDonald's restaurant in Nummela. We are constantly looking for good business locations, and thanks to its central location, Vihti's Nummela is a perfect fit," says Olli Johansson, CEO of McDonald's Finland.

Nummela Mäkkäri is 360 m2 in size and employs around 60 people.

McDonald's is the market leader in fast food restaurants in Finland and aims to continue to grow strongly across the country.

"Last year we opened six new restaurants in different parts of Finland, and we plan to open at least the same number of restaurants this year," Johansson says.

The municipality of Vihti has also been aware that its residents have long wanted a McDonald's restaurant in the municipality.

"The municipality of Vihti welcomes the long-awaited McDonald's to Nummela. We are delighted that a suitable site has been found for McDonald's and that we will be able to enjoy the company's products and the 60 new jobs the restaurant will bring. This is a big deal for us," says Mika Herpiö, Director of Vitality in Vihti Municipality.
